What is Integrative Medicine
Integrative Medicine is a new approach to medical care that brings patient and practitioner together in a dynamic partnership dedicated to optimizing the patient's health and healing. This approach focuses on the whole person, recognizing that the subtle interactions of mind, body, spirit and community have a direct impact on vitality and well-being. Integrative Medicine depends on a partnership between the patient and the doctor, where the goal is to treat the mind, body, and spirit, all at the same time.
Integrative medicine combines conventional care with alternative medicine to improve patient care. Rather than practice one type of medicine, integrative physicians will often combine therapies and treatment approaches to ensure the best results for their patients. Integrative Medicine couples the latest scientific advances with the most profound insights of ancient healing systems, giving patients the best ways to preserve health, increase longevity and speed recovery from illness. Integrative Medicine is a revolutionary approach to healing people — not just treating diseases — using the unique tool called person-centered diagnosis. Integrative Medicine allows the patient to find optimal health by understanding one’s individual needs for achieving balance and harmony.
